When it comes to new makeup – it gets me quite excited to try a whole new range of products, colours, textures and all that it has to offer. I recently received a lovely package from Soap & Glory UAE – many thanks team Boots Middle East. The first look at the products got me intrigued into going ahead and swatching them as their packing is really, really cute! Look at those details guys – retro meets beauty! I have been using the Soap and glory bath products for a few years now and I can’t wait to share my review on the makeup range. If you’d like to learn more on them … please keep scrolling down below.
D-I-Y Brow Bar
The DIY brow bar as it claims is a 4-in-1 shaping, perfecting, highlighting and taming kit. It comes with a large built in mirror which makes it great to travel with and do your brows on the go if time is a constraint. The closure is intact and can be easily carried in the makeup pouch or can also slide in to your clutch/bag. The texture of the pigment is great and its not quite intense or powdery, therefore, it gives you the room to build up the look as you desire. The palette also comes with two application brushes one to tame your brows and the other to dab on the brow/highlighting pigment.
Glow All Out – Highlight and Sculpt Cheek Stick
Quite a jumbo size cheek highlighter that has a champagne pink hue. It blends in well and leaves a subtle shine. For those who like a tad bit more, you can apply more to build. The packaging is great and works well on most skin tones but, I think, it will be fair to say that it will work better on lighter skin tones – but again one to their own. Apply to the high areas on your face to slay the highlighter look.
Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks
These are two different formulas. Barely Pinking(L) is a balmy creamy finish with a hint of shine to it – that makes your lips look fuller. And, on the otherhand Pommie Girl(R) has a creamy satin like finish which is perfect for the chapped lips in winters or even otherwise. It feels luxe on the lips and has no wear on weight. The packaging is vibrant with a reflective mirror feel. The colours are mentioned at the bottom of the lippe like most lipsticks. I absolutely love the logo engraved in the lipstick itself – like some of the high end brands come up with. Extra points for that! The lipstick budges to a little extent when you drink or eat due to the texture and leaves a hint of stain on the lips. Moreover, it does require touch ups and thats common with all the balmy/creamy lipsticks. The colours that I’ve received are pretty much up my sleeve as I always bend towards warm/cool nudes.
For the trending no makeup, makeup look – or that glow girl face, these lippies totally fit the bill. Honestly, for the most part during summers here in Dubai, I have been wearing a tinted moisturizer and a flushed look with a bronzer/blusher and a nude lippie.
This packaging requires a special address or a mention as it has my name printed on it. Unfortunately, I did not click the top bit to show you guys as I was click happy. If you want to know how it looks like, please hop on to my Instagram post and I have included it there.
The bronzer is a in true sense a wonderbronze … I literally went like WOAH!!! This is fabulous! Loved the way it swatched on my hand and then on to my face. Its a perfect bronze highlighter too for those high points on your face – for a sun kissed look. I have been lusting over this bronzer and more so it has been giving me beach/holiday vibes. Swirl your brush around for a perfect mix up of colours or just use the ones your inclined towards more for your kinda look. Works great either ways!
All in all, I have loved the products, considering the price point. They are worth your spend and you will be surprised by the finish if you happen to swatch before your purchase. My top favorites are the lipsticks and the Wonderbronze.
