Chanel Rouge Allure Ink – Review

Hello Loves,

I’m feeling festive and all geared up for the party season that’s just around the corner. Christmas and new year’s is like less than a month away …  where has 2016 gone really??! Starting Dec on a fairly luxurious note with the all newChanel Rouge Allure Ink. Did you guys notice how amazingly does the lippie rest on the illustrated coffee table above?

Chanel has totally nailed their 2016 Fall collection with stunning hues. I mean, how many times do I have to trip over their Rouge collection year on year?! The Rouge Allure Ink has a line up of 8 stunning hues ranging from coral to deep reds and berry colours.

Packaging

This specific collection comes in mini sized frosted glass finish with a classic black lid and a golden Chanel logo on the top which is pretty Chanel like. Its all in the details, isn’t it? The size is just right and I’m quite liking the mini sized lippies. Quite comfortable and easy to apply with as compared to some others in the beauty sphere. The size is so little to be stashed in any of your makeup bags for travel or even your clutch for an evening out.

Application & Formula

The texture is smooth, glides on well and is velvety for sure. The coverage is dense and is build able. It has a luminous finish and stays on for a few hours. Although, it totally depends on what you decide to eat or drink. It is not a bad ass one only because it starts wearing off in sometime and I’m pretty used to the Kat Von D and Sephora matte liquid lipsticks and this is not close in terms of the stay on power. I kind of thought that the formula would be ground breaking but its quite the opposite for a perfect matte lipstick that stays on. For those who enjoy a velvety satin smooth finish and not too OCD about the matte finish and the longevity then this is what you invest in. The texture is feather weight, undoubtedly! What I love most about this line up is the range of colours as they are perfect all year around and some fall inspired shades that are oh-so-gorgeous.

Verdict

I love the fact that the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink comes in 8 spectacular shades. The finish is not something I’m inclined towards but for a luminous satin like texture that stays on for a few hours, this fits the bill! For all you Chanel lovers, this one is a gorgeous add on to Chanel’s Lipstick range. Perfect holiday pout, you guys!
