*Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Review

I should confess that I totally cannot live without well painted tips and toes! For the most part my toe nails have to be painted all year around and I know that is something I should work on and let my nails breathe. But, I just love painting them all the time. From the past 3-4 years my colour selection has also been very seasonal oriented and I totally have to try a new SS or FW collection, come what may!

Few products have come just in time for Valentines and New Flame 554 is a bang on colour for the occasion. We can’t get over a zillion ‘shades of red’ can we?!? New Flame from Sally Hansen promises a brilliant red hue bending towards a hint of orange or lets say tomato red would perfectly describe it. Tomato red tone is one of my fav colours from the red line-up and this one perfectly fits the bill. Hands down, a perfect shade to flaunt off this Valentines and let your pretty hands and feet do the talking.

The next shade in line is New Suede Shoes 684. This is spot-on cobalt blue!! One colour that I was obsessed with in 2015. I have a soft corner for all things blue, it can be from powder blue to cobalt blue to navy and royal blue. I love blue!!! I loved the colour the moment I applied it on and I was extremely happy with the colour pay off of this one too! A gorgeous all year around shade, very festive and peppy!

Now talking about the specs, the complete salon manicure claims 7 benefits:

  1. Top Coat
  2. Base Coat
  3. Strengthener
  4. Colour
  5. Gel Shine Finish
  6. Chip Resistant
  7. Growth Treatment

This pretty much sums up the reason why girls having been tripping on the range! I think it saves the time and hassle of applying a base coat and a top coat, over and above providing a gel shine and a great colour pay off! I think I can totally vouch for the gel shine colour and thats the 1st thing that came into my mind after the application. Dip your hands in water a numerous times or take a long bath, the nail paint won’t chip off at least for a couple of days. It remains intact for over a week or 10 days on the toes.

In two coats I got the desired finish and I din’t have to work my way for an even application. The entire formula along with a flat brush did the job incredibly. The thin brush fibres have a circular edge which help you achieve a flawless finish without having the nail paint run over on the sides. It is a great feature indeed. Moreover, the brush handle has a rubber ring towards the bottom bit which helps to hold on to the brush sturdily and the fingers don’t tend to slip.

The complete salon manicure range is a two thumbs up for me and I can’t wait to try out more shades the next time I hop over to the drugstore. The finish is extremely close to the ones provided by the other well known brands in the industry. Great for those who are on the go and need a quick manicure to pull of the look!
