Hey Loves,

I recently won a competition on Dubai on Demand and received this goodie pack from Rimmel! I was extremely excited to get my hands on it and could not wait to try out all the products most importantly the foundation and the lipsticks. The colors are amazing and I usually prefer using lighter shades during the day and I was quite elated to see that it consisted of 2 light shaded lipstick shades. Honestly, apart from trying out eye pencils and eye shadows I have never really tried their foundations, mascara and lip colors.

After trying out the Rimmel – Wake Me Up foundation which is a new release and has been quite talked about off-late I decided to review it. The first look and feel of the foundation is that it has micro shine particles in it which bring about a healthy glow and makes you look refreshed and woken up. I’m personally not a big fan of foundations that contain micro shimmer though.

Coverage – The coverage is medium to buildable. It does not tend to cake up.
Consistency – I found it be quite smooth and thick and therefore a slight amount can go a long way.
Benefits – Instantly feels refreshed and radiant due to the mirco shimmer and vitamin C that eliminates fatigue and lifts the face up. Hence, known to be an anti-fatigue foundation.
SPF – Contains SPF 15 so its perfect for the day look.
Application – I use it with the Real Techniques buffing brush or a damp Beauty Blender for perfect application.
Skin: For Normal skin but you might have to apply some generous amount of powder on the top for it to last longer throughout the day. Avoid applying if you have an oily skin as the micro shimmer can show through the pores and can make the skin look a lot more oily. For dry skin skin like mine, I wouldn’t recommend it either as you will have to apply layers of moisturizer for it settle in well. That is exactly what I had to do while testing on my skin.
Shades – I use it in the shade Soft Beige.
Packaging – It comes in a glass bottle with a pump which is always a plus.

The shade that I received was in a pink undertone and my undertone is Olive. The foundation did oxidize quite a lot and I could not really wear it for too long as it looked greyish.
But if you have a pink undertone then this would be a perfect match for your skintone. I think for the price at which it retails, it is a great buy!!

Moving on to the Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipsticks

The first look and feel of the lipstick was that its very nourishing on the lips, the packaging is in classic black matte finish, Kate Moss collection. The lips felt soft, moisturized and smooth! These are high intensity colors and can last upto 8hours.  The color lasted way longer than I though it would and I was very impressed. My friends did go head over heels for #37 that I decided to wear on my bday!
I’m a hoarder of nude lip shades and was so excited to try on #34 and #38. I quite liked them for a day look and perfect during summers here Dubai or even elsewhere. The lipsticks are well pigmented, although I like applying a thick layer it just saves me time to keep re-applying.

Try them on and let me know how you liked them?
